I would like to help, but need training
Greeter: Provide a warm welcome as adults and children arrive for worship. Help guests and visitors sign in.
Usher: Prepare sanctuary for worship and light candles; hand out attendance books, pass offering baskets, release worshippers for communion, count attendance, and assist people as needed; clean up sanctuary after worship and take attendance sheets and offering to the office.
Sound System Operator: Mute and unmute microphones during worship and direct camera.
Zoom/PowerPoint: Start Zoom, ensure worship is recording, open PowerPoint, and advance slides during worship service.
Assisting Minister: Read assigned Bible readings and pre-written prayers, serve communion, and help pastor as needed
Bread for Communion: Provide bread for communion. Bread may be purchased or homemade.
Communion Preparation: Fill cups with wine and grape juice, set up items on the altar and credence table, and clean up after worship.
Serve Communion: Serve wine or bread for communion, or hold the basket for communion cups.
Fellowship: Make coffee, provide snacks and refreshments, and clean up afterwards.
Music: Share special music for worship. Instrumental or vocal music is welcome, as well as solos, small groups, and choir.
Healing Minister: Anoint (use oil to draw the sign of the cross on the forehead) and pray for people using a pre-written prayer for healing.
Readers Theater/Drama: Read scripted parts as part of a drama, scripture, seasonal reading, or story.
