Pop Go the Sailors-Volunteers Sign Up Form 2022
Hello Choir Family! 

It is Pop go the Sailors "Solid Gold" time!!!! We are definitely ready to finish this year strong. PLEASE REMEMBER if you were not able to help during Singing Christmas Tree and need volunteer time for your early sale code access next year, THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE.

Since we have adjusted the rehearsal schedule for "show week" (May 16-22, see details below), We won't be in need of as many volunteers during the week. Below are the only jobs, dates and times that we do need filled this time.

Can you spare some time for either of these things? No experience necessary!

These are the only jobs we anticipate needing help with for this year's show so dive in--it's all we've got! And, our Theater Manager, Michael Reinhardt says if we can get the set done more quickly, we will cancel future dates! (Location for set construction is the MSHS Auditorium and Scene Shop and backstage.)

Monday, May 16, 6pm-9pm-SPECIALTY ACTS ONLY, scheduled in 7 minute increments. Be there by 5:45 PM

Tuesday, May 17, 6 pm-8:00 pm LARGE CHOIR NUMBERS ONLY (In this order-Singers, Anchormen, Acappella and Treble). Optional: Each choir can leave when their last number is done or stay and watch the others. Each choir will have a max of 30 minutes on stage. Be there by 5:45 PM

Wednesday, May 18, 6pm-9:30pm-CLOSER & OPENER (in this order). Be there by 5:45 PM FOLLOWED BY ALL SPECIALTY ACTS, RUNNING IN SHOW ORDER.

Thursday, May 19, 6pm-9pm Final Dress Rehearsal! Be there by 5:45 PM You may leave when your last act is done, as we will not be doing the closer on this night.

Friday, May 20-Opening Night. Students check in by 6:30pm for our 7:00pm show. End time, approx. 9:15pm. Volunteers be there by 6:45 PM

Saturday, May 21-Closing Night/Senior Night. Students check in by 6:30pm for our 7:00pm show.  End time, approx. 9:15pm. Volunteers be there by 6:45 PM

Sunday, May 22 1pm-? Typically ends around 3pm-4pm. Set Strike (take apart and get the set back off the stage)

Please select any/all day(s) that you will come and help build or paint the "Pop" set. We need 6-8 per shift. Please bring cordless drills if you have them! Your fearless leader, Michael Reinhardt will guide you. No experience necessary!
Poster Distribution (place them in area businesses) Posters are almost done being printed and we have the town divided into 3 areas. I give you a spreadsheet with the business names and you get them hung up on your schedule.
Clear selection
Student Supervision/"Child Wrangler" (We need 2 minimum, per choir, for each date below)
Backstage Crew-This crew works directly off/on stage moving microphones, props, piano, etc. on and off stage for each number. 5-7 needed per night (except Tues/Wed-see below).
Ticket Sales-We are all set in this area!
Product Sales: Typically need 4 people to complete this task. Please arrive no later than 6pm.

Ushers  (meet in the lobby at 6:15 pm, doors open at 6:30 pm). You will hand out programs and assist in seating as needed. You are done shortly after 7:00 pm!
