Tattoo Application
Please note that this is an application! If your application is accepted, you will be contacted to confirm the booking date and design. Unfortunately, I may not be able to accept every application due to limited space. Once I have reviewed your application, you will be contacted via email to discuss further details. Once accepted, you will be asked to send a $20 deposit (for Brooklyn bookings) or a $50 deposit (for anywhere outside Brooklyn) to hold your appointment. If you are a no-show, the deposit will not be refunded.

 
Another important note: ALL booking communication must go through my email bee@preposterousbee.com. If you are given my personal number, it is only to be to communicate entry to the building, if you are running late, or if I personally give you a specific reason. My DMs and phone number are not used for booking, rescheduling, or consultations even if you are a repeat client.

If none of the following are applicable to you, I am unable to work with you. I have severe asthma and other chronic illnesses-- I ask that you please do not risk my health and safety or that of my clients.  If you test positive before your appointment, your security deposit will be refunded and you will be added to the top of my waitlist. If you are unvaccinated due to a *PROFESSIONALLY DIAGNOSED MEDICAL CONDITION* you will need to provide documentation of the medical condition OR a doctor's note if you do not wish to disclose the specifics of your condition.

Allergies
Allergy alerts: I use nitrile gloves - absolutely no latex. The Brooklyn studio is in the same space as a floral studio so there will be pollen present! All of the areas you will come into physical contact with will be cleaned with medical grade equipment. All ink, stencil transfer lubricant, and ointment are vegan and cruelty free.

Session Vibes
I want to make sure you are comfortable and have the best experience possible! What's your ideal experience? Do you want light hearted chit chat? A deep conversation about the universe? Do you want to just meditate and be present together without talking? It doesn't have to be set in stone-- you can always change your mind when we get there! This just helps me get in the right head space as I prepare to work with you.
Music preferences
What vibe do you want for your session? Any specific artists you'd love? Anything you definitely don't want to hear? Feel free to add a link to your Spotify account or any specific playlists you like the vibe of. If you don't want to listen to music together, you are welcome to bring headphones. As I am neurodivergent, I need auditory stimulation to stay focused and do my best work (music works best for me). I am unable to wear headphones while I am working for health and safety reasons. However, if this is in issue for your please let me know why and we can try to work something out! All custom pieces include a custom made playlist that is curated for your music preference and tattoo theme. 
Budget - PLEASE USE NUMBER RANGE *
$60 minimum for select small simplified flash, $150 minimum for custom pieces - your  $20 deposit will go towards the final cost. I now entirely sliding scale pricing. Instead of being given a set final price, you will be given a sliding scale range for you to decide what price is fair for your financial situation. 
Would you like to do a trade to partially (or possibly fully) cover the cost of your tattoo?
We hate capitalism here so I'm very open to alternative methods of partial or full payment. Potential trades: art history textbooks (with full color images), handmade jewelry, hair dye job (for now, must be professional and done in your work space), tattoos, overalls (sizes medium to large), good books (especially queer fiction or non-fiction, art/ art history), &/or education on spirituality / folklore / social justice / sex education (ie while I tattoo you, you give a lil lecture on your topic, bonus points for powerpoint of notes that I can have to reference later). Also open to other possibilities! Please describe your potential trade in as much detail as you can and include the estimated monetary value. Links are also helpful! If we are not doing a tattoo or hair trade there will still be *at least* a $40 minimum to offset the cost of my supplies.
