Beyond policies: Exploring everyday practices of collective care

This project is about supporting and learning from informal practices of collective care in ‘frontline’ groups.

By ‘frontline groups’ we mean everything from community groups, grassroots organisations, and solidarity-based groups where most members are at the sharp end of power and inequality, as well as those voluntary sector organisations where a significant number of workers have experience of marginalisation and are trying to prioritise care and ‘do help’ in ways that are less top-down.

Read more about the project and have a look at some examples of what we’re talking about.

At this early stage of the project, the most important thing is that we hear from you. We want to know if we’re on the right track - does this project make sense? What kinds of ‘collective care’ are you and your group engaging in or thinking about? And how could this project support these?

We know that the ways of working we’re talking about can be particularly sensitive, and involve individuals and groups facing multiple forms of marginalisation. We want to stress that this survey is completely confidential and the answers will only be shared with the RadHR team. Because we are hoping to connect with people who complete the survey, we ask for you to provide your group’s name and a contact email.

We also know that there are loads of individuals and groups who may not be doing this kind of stuff themselves, but can think of other individuals and groups who are. We would love to ensure that this project reaches them. Please do feel free to share the link to this form with anyone who you think it may resonate with.  And feel free to get in touch with beyondpolicies@radhr.org with any questions.

If you would prefer not to fill out the form for whatever reason, or if you would find it easier, we can offer a phone call to discuss the questions instead  - just get in touch by email and we can arrange a time!
