People's Open Pantry (POP) Volunteering

The People's Market is proud to launch our collaboration with Hoosier Hills Food Bank. The People's Open Pantry (POP), at Artisan Alley (222 W 2nd Street) will be open 11-1 PM every Saturday, starting September 19. We are looking for volunteers who can help staff the pantry on Saturdays. Volunteers who can return on a weekly basis are preferred.

Currently closed for submissions! We have a good base of volunteers until the end of October.

Drive-Through CSA Volunteering

Help vendors unload products at Bloomingfoods East from 7:30 am until 9:00 am on Saturday

Help pack boxes between 9:00 am and 11 am on Saturday

Deliver products to homebound and sponsored box requests starting 12:30 pm

Exchanging SNAP for vouchers at Artisan Alley from 9-11 AM

Running the EBT machine for EBT users at Artisan Alley (10:30 to 1)

Pass out boxes to customers between 10:30 and 1:15 pm

Tear down CSA and break down boxes throughout the CSA shift (12-1 PM)

Drop off remaining boxes at food agencies after 1 pm on Saturday

Help with clean up, trash and recycling, and taking items back to storage after 1 pm on Saturday

On the Ground Operations

We are also transitioning to on the ground operations. This week, we will have People's Market vendors vending in person in the Kmart space from 10-1 PM. We will need volunteers to assist. Please click all you are willing to assist with. NOTE TIME CHANGE.
