Applicants are selected based on the below criteria that predict their success in a middle college high school environment:
Desire and commitment to complete at least one year of college courses while in high school
- At least a 2.5 high school GPA
- At least a C or better in English 1 and pre-algebra or above
- At or Near Standard on the SBA State Testing in English and Math
- Possess the following characteristics:
- Motivated to succeed
- Responsible
- High maturity level
- Strong academic potential
Priority consideration for the following measurements
- First-generation college student
- Historically underserved in 4-year colleges
- Low income
- At-risk of not performing up to potential in a large high school environment
