The Spiritual Competency Academy is an approved sponsor of CEs by the American Psychological Association.

Below is more information on the health professionals which may be eligible for CEs through the Spiritual Competency Academy (SCA).

• CE credits for psychologists are provided by the Spiritual Competency Academy (SCA) which is co-sponsoring this program. The Spiritual Competency Academy is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Spiritual Competency Academy maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
• The California Board of Behavioral Sciences accepts CE credits for LCSW, LPCC, LEP, and LMFT license renewal for programs offered by approved sponsors of CE by the American Psychological Association.
• SCA is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN Provider CEP16887) for licensed nurses in California. RNs must retain this document for 4 years after the course concludes.

FROM A DIFFERENT STATE OR COUNTRY?

Health professionals from a state or country outside of California need to check with their licensing boards as to whether or not they accept programs offered by approved sponsors of Continuing Education by the American Psychological Association (APA).

DIFFERENT CREDENTIAL?

If your credential is not listed, please check with your licensing board as to whether or not they accept programs offered by approved sponsors of Continuing Education by the American Psychological Association (APA).

The SCA and The Embody Lab are not able to determine your eligibility.

• CEs are only available to those who participate in LIVE sessions. We are not able to provide CEs for watching the recordings.
• ALL specified classes must be attended LIVE. If any of these classes are missed, then no CEs can be granted. It is not possible to receive partial CEs for the classes that were attended live.
• In order for live attendance to count, you must arrive within 15 minutes of the start time and stay for the duration of the session. 
• If the program is on ZOOM, CE students will check in via chat, please send a message To: *TEL - Tech Assistant: "[Name] checking in for CEs."  If the program is LIVE IN-PERSON, you will receive separate instructions for checking in.
• If you arrive later than 15 minutes or leave early, you are not able to receive CEs. CEs cannot be given for partial attendance.  
• Before the start of the course (or specific classes for the ISTT program), we will send you some online "paperwork" (attendance tracking and evaluation form).  
• This paperwork must be submitted to us within 3 days after the course (or phase for ISTT) ends.

IMPORTANT - If you are late, do not show up for a class, or do not submit the required documentation, you will not be able to receive the CEs.

The requirements around attendance and submitting documentation are strict from the SCA. We are not able to make any accommodations.
