The Champions Programme is targeted towards health and social care professionals working and supporting older people. Through the LGBT Champions Training Programme attendees will developing the awareness, confidence, competence and commitment, so they can transform the care experience of older LGBT+ people to one of inclusion, respect and dignity.
LGBT Ireland will run online LGBT Champions Training Events for health and social care professionals working with older people throughout the year
The training events will take place through Zoom from 1:00pm - 5:00pm with a limit of 10 people per session. Training events will take place on the following dates:

The training will also assist in the development of a realistic action plan which you can work, with our support, to implement within your service.
Following this training, in addition to becoming part of the LGBT Champions Network which will offer Peer Support and CPD, you will be invited to attend a follow up ‘recall day’ to discuss challenges and impact which you have seen in your practice/ services since this event.
