SITE SET UP
•
NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
•
Bring your muscles
•
Set up the site for the event, including installing ring fencing, marking spectator areas, running extension cords, installing signs, setting up shade tents, etc.
•
Help move agility equipment into rings
•
Some jobs will involve lots of walking, lifting, and other physical activities
•
Assist with vendor set-up
•
Set up tables, chairs, and equipment, for registration, hospitality, scoring, etc.
COMPETITOR REGISTRATION
•
NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
•
Welcome competitors, sign them in, check Dog ID cards, provide information
•
Distribute pre-purchased clothing
VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION
•
NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
•
Welcome volunteers, sign them in and direct them to their assigned area
•
Handing out volunteer t-shirts
•
Directing volunteers to Hospitality area for snacks, water, meals, etc.
VOLUNTEER HOSPITALITY
•
NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
•
Ensure that coolers for ring crew are stocked with refreshments and ice during event
•
Assist with setup of food and refreshments for judges and volunteers at hospitality venue
•
Assist with maintaining cleanliness of hospitality venue
•
Assist with pickup of food and ice on event days as needed
GENERAL WORKER (AKA GO-FER)
• NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Competitor/Spectator Parking Attendant
• Assist competitors set up in crating area
• General site maintenance – clean up, fetching and carrying
• Setting up/moving equipment (e.g. tables chairs, etc.)
• Assisting with podium set-up (Sunday)
• Helping out where needed, when needed (Go-Fer)
SITE TEAR DOWN
• NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Bring your muscles
• Take everything down, pack up, load vehicles
• Assist with packing up tables, chairs, and equipment for registration, hospitality, scoring, etc.
• Building and site clean-up, garbage collection, etc.
• Some jobs will involve lots of walking, lifting, and other physical activities
RING ASSIGNMENTS
CHIEF RING STEWARD - ALL POSITIONS HAVE BEEN FILLED!
• EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Full day assignment in one ring – MUST BE A NON-COMPETITOR
• Chief Ring Stewards will receive an honorarium of $50.00 per day
• AKA “Lord of the Ring”
• Oversee all ring crew and course builders
• Liaison between judge and competitors
TIMER - ALL POSITIONS HAVE BEEN FILLED!
•
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
•
Full day assignment in one ring – MUST BE A NON-COMPETITOR
•
Timers will receive an honorarium of $50.00 per day
•
Press the “Go/Ready” button when the scribe and judge are ready
•
Monitor the timer to make sure it is working properly
•
Inform the scribe of the time when the dog’s run is complete
•
Gamble rings – Change timer options; manually start timer when dog crosses start line
SCRIBE - ALL POSITIONS HAVE BEEN FILLED!

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
•
Full day assignment in one ring – MUST BE A NON-COMPETITOR
•
Scribes will receive an honorarium of $50.00 per day
•
Write down all the judge’s signals and records a time for the run
•
Gamble rings – writes down all the points called by the judge and notes whether or not the closing gamble was completed
SCRIBE ASSISTANT - ALL POSITIONS HAVE BEEN FILLED!
•
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
•
Full day assignment in one ring – MUST BE A NON-COMPETITOR
•
Scribe Assistants will receive an honorarium of $50.00 per day
•
Ensure the scribe sheets are in the proper order
•
Hand the correct scribe sheet to the scribe and collect the completed scribe sheet
•
Provide one copy to the Score Runner and one copy to the competitor
GATE STEWARD
•
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
•
Needs to be able to shout loudly!
•
Calls competitors to the ring and keeps things moving along
•
Announces jump height changes to the ring crew
SCORE RUNNER
•
NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
•
Collect scribe sheets from each ring and deliver to the Scoring Team
•
You’ll definitely get your steps in!
RING CREW
•
NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
•
Set jump bars at the correct height, reset knocked bars, check tunnel positions
LEASH RUNNER
•
NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
•
Collect leash and take to the exit gate for collection at the end of the run.
•
Don’t distract the dog!
•
You’ll definitely get your steps in!
