Winter Cub Club Registration Information
Please complete one form per student. You will be given the option to submit another form after each submission.

Most clubs will start the week of Nov. 29th, and continue through January (except Ski, Skate, and Theater Clubs).

Clubs run from 3:15-5:00pm. Late bus service is available to Winthrop (arriving at 5:10 at the Red Barn) and Twisp (arriving at 5:25 at the Community Center).

These after-school clubs are offered free of charge, thanks to funding assistance from the Public School Funding Alliance.

***Ski Cubs and Skate Club will start the first week of January. These will have separate registration forms, which will be available in early December.

Club Details:
Garden Clubs (Mondays OR Thursdays, grades 1-2)- led by Classroom in Bloom staff, Mia Sundstrom. Students will do garden art and science activities in the greenhouse at their school garden, play games and eat delicious snacks.

Winter Science Club (Tuesdays, grades 3-6)- led by Sophie Daudon and Daniel McGill. Ever wondered about those animal tracks out your backdoor, why avalanches happen, and/or the reason snow is white? If yes, or if you've had an inkling of curiosity about anything else in the wintery outdoors, this club is the place for you! We will be entirely outdoors and hands-on in our scientific explorations.

Fit Kids! (Mondays, grades 3-4)- led by Alison Naney. Students will be mostly outside, focusing on strength, balance and creative movement.

4th Grade Math Games (Mondays)- led by Tiffany Surface. Students will learn about math and practice what they know through interactive games.

Socratic Debate (Mondays, grades 5-6)- led by Grade Butler. Sessions will emphasize listening, learning, and asking critical questions in pursuit of knowledge and understanding.

Theater Clubs (Tuesdays, grades 3-4; Thursdays, grades 5-6)- led by Missi Smith and The Merc. Students will do readers theater style productions, and focus on creative expression. Starting in January.

Horse Club (Thursday for grades 3-4)- led by MV Riding Unlimited. Students will learn about equine anatomy, horse care, horse breeds and basically horse around. NOTE: This club has been postponed to FEBRUARY.

Art Club (Fridays, grades 5-6)- led by Christa Culbert. Students will focus on drawing, painting and creative composition.
