Teaching Staff Objective Setting 2022-23

All teaching based staff are set three aligned objectives with their line-managers in September. Objectives are aligned together to whole-school priorities.

Objective 1:  Teaching: Ensure focus, recaps, modelling, checking and practice happen consistently and fully to ensure disruption-free and distraction-free learning for all lessons, all students and all staff, including in form-time, reflection, interventions, cover and across your department.

Actions:
1. Use 3-2-1-FOCUS to gain students' attention.
2. Use named reminders and referrals to maintain 100% focus.
3. Use recaps, modelling, checking and practice in all lessons.

Objective 2: CPD: Share and act on Speedback consistently, twice each half-term, pursue your own CPD and support others’ CPD.

Actions:
1. Act upon Speedback twice per half term, embedding suggestions into your practice.
2. Attend and positively contribute towards team and whole-school CPD.
3. Embed key actions from CPD sessions into your practice.
4. Identify one area in your own practice that you are working on each half term (this area may not change each half term).

Objective 3:  Follow Up: Prepare for, share and follow up consistently on line-management conversations and at least three top, rank-ordered actions every week.

Actions:
1. Attend line management meetings punctually and well-prepared.
2. Act upon agreed actions in line with agreed timescales.
