DVN Volunteer Interest Form
DVN has a few upcoming volunteer opportunities available. Once you fill this out you may be contacted by a member of our team to ask a few additional questions regarding your interest in volunteering with us. We generally will contact folks as the organization's needs happen.

Event Volunteer
DVN holds a number of community centered events throughout the year, and we can always use a hand in setting up, running the event, and tearing down. Depending on the event there are usually multiple types of roles someone can take on.
Time: typically a one day commitment for at least 4 hours, typically weekday evenings or weekends
Notes: Some positions require being able to stand for an extended period. Some positions require being able to sit for an extended period. Some positions may require lifting. Most positions require being comfortable and able to orally communicate with others.
Suitable for those 18 years of age and older.

Resource Drop Volunteer
DVN provides printed resources to organizations, business, and agencies. We have a high demand for resources, and are looking for volunteers interested in helping us spread resources throughout the Indianapolis community and beyond. We are looking for folks willing to drive to local places, and to help us prepare resources for mailing.
Time: average commitment of up to 4 hours a month, typically a weekday
Notes: Requires a valid drivers license and reliable transportation if you are interested in making local resource drops. Requires an ability to read and write. Requires the ability to lift boxes up to 25lbs.

Inventory Volunteer
As demand for print resources has increased, so has the print resource supply! We could use help in our office space sorting, counting and organizing print resources.
Time: average commitment of up to 4 hours a month, typically a weekday
Notes: Requires lifting boxes, some sitting, some standing, and being in an office environment.

Canvassing Volunteer
We try to connect with the communities we hold events in. We will often canvass in neighborhoods to let folks know about an upcoming event happening near them. We usually do this about a week out from an event and as a group, and we drop off flyers. Canvassing is a really great community engagement tool. This gives those who canvass an opportunity to not only pass out flyers but interact with neighbors and get their thoughts or questions about the event as well as getting to simply say hi.
Time: average commitment of up to 2 hours per month, flexible timeframe
Notes: Requires the ability to stand and walk a majority of the time. Requires the ability to orally communicate with others.
