IndigiNerds Supervisor Application 2024
On behalf of the McMaster Indigenous Research Institute, we invite you to apply as a faculty supervisor for the 8th annual IndigiNerds, a summer research program for Indigenous undergraduate students from across Turtle Island. IndigiNerds is formally known as the Indigenous Undergraduate Summer Research Scholars (IUSRS) program and has hosted over 90 students since its inception in 2015.

IndigiNerd Supervisors are matched with students based on research interests. Supervisors can

1) integrate the student into a pre-existing research team on an ongoing project.

2) find another approach that fits the discipline of study and is feasible within the scope of the program .

For this upcoming spring/summer, 2024 we're inviting up to 10 undergraduate students from across Turtle Island for an in-person, eight-week program. (May 3rd – June 28th, 2024). Please email kknott@mcmaster.ca with any questions.

Student must read, sign, and adhere to a Student-Supervisor contract that outlines the contractual obligations of the IndigiNerd program.
