Minsi Scout Reservation
Welcome!
Welcome!   We hope you are reviewing this registration form with the intention of joining us this year as Troop 29 heads to Minsi Scout Reservation.  Camp Minsi is located on the shores of Stillwater Lake in the heart of the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. Donated to the Scouting program in 1949, Camp Minsi encompasses more than 1,200 acres of relatively flat Pennsylvania woodlands. The camp's 314-acre lake provides sailing, swimming, fishing and other aquatic activities to the thousands of Scouts and Scouters who visit throughout the year.

It has been many years since we were last at Camp Minsi and we are excited about visiting once again.   Their program seems to offer both fun and learnings for all of our scouts regardless of age or experience.

We will be attending Minsi Camp Week #4, July 16 - 22nd 2023.

A commitment to attend MUST BE MADE NO LATER THAN FRIDAY February 24, 2023.   Registration is possible beyond February 24th but will be constrained by bus seat availability, and program capacities at the camp.

A late fee of $40 per scout will be assessed by the camp for registrations made after February24.

NOTE:  These deadlines do NOT APPLY TO NEW FIRST YEAR SCOUTS. (Marshmallow's are now 2nd year scouts)   First year registration deadline is May 15, 2023 since the camp makes provision for new scouts joining in the spring.

COVID & ANNUAL HEALTH AND MEDICAL RECORD
=======================================================================
The Troop Committee has determined that since the summer activities will be significantly longer than a simple weekend campout we need to take extra ordinary measures to maintain a safe environment.

ALL participants will need to show written proof of COVID vaccination (with booster) or have a negative COVID test within 48 hours prior to  GEAR DROP OFF (DAY BEFORE WE LEAVE)

We, along with the camp, will be doing our utmost to maintain a safe environment.   Scouts are asked to limit risky activity and isolate prior to attending to the maximum extent possible to assure they will not be bringing any germs to camp.   Parents will be asked to confirm that scouts are not sick prior to their admission to camp.   Scouts running a temperature will NOT be permitted onto the bus or into camp.   Parents will be expected to COME PICK SCOUTS UP SHOULD THEY BE/FALL ILL.

Each year the ScoutsBSA requires participating scouts submit a Health and Medical Record as a condition of participation.  For Summer Camp the requirement includes a Physician visit and signature.   This is similar but more inclusive than the form you would normally use on a weekend outing as it includes the physician information.     The link below will open a fillable form that is appropriate to bring to a doctors office for final data input and signature.
