ORNL is partnering with elementary and middle schools across the region to support National Engineers Week (February 19-25). National Engineers Week is a celebration of engineering, and its goal is to ensure a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce by increasing understanding of and interest in engineering and technology careers. Volunteers will visit classrooms to talk to students about ORNL, engineering, and what it's like to work in the field and lead students in a short engineering activity. Presentation and activity should take about 45 minutes. School/volunteer assignments will be sent out a week before Engineers Week.
