ECOSLO Creeks to Coast Cleanup 2020 New Site Proposal
Thank you for your interest in being involved in SLO County's Creeks to Coast Cleanup! This cleanup is a part of Coastal Cleanup Day, which is an international day of cleanup. ECOSLO is the local coordinator for San Luis Obispo County and in 2019 we coordinated over 1,800 volunteers at 48 sites to remove over 17,500 pounds of trash and recycle. We're looking to add more sites in 2020 and get more community groups, organizations, and schools involved in this largest data-driven cleanup of the year - from the creeks to the coast!

SLO County Creeks to Coast Cleanup 2020
Saturday, September 26, 2020 from 9:00am-Noon

ECOSLO will handle all marketing, recruitment, and coordination of volunteers.  You will simply propose a new site, and if selected, work with ECOSLO leading up to Creeks to Coast Cleanup to communicate with volunteers and then serve as the Cleanup Captains at the site that day.

If you have a new cleanup site in mind please consider submitting a site proposal to be involved with next year's Creeks to Coast Cleanup. Please read the project proposal guidelines listed below.

New Site Proposal Guidelines:
-- Please ensure that the site that you're proposing isn't already a cleanup site. Check www.ecoslo.org/creeks-to-coast to see current cleanup sites.
-- We are looking for a variety of locations across SLO County, including inland and coastal opportunities.
-- Cleanup sites can range from a minimum of 10 volunteers to a maximum of 50 volunteers.
-- Projects must take place within SLO County.
-- Projects must be submitted for review by ECOSLO staff no later than April 30, 2020. Site supplies and marketing preparations begin in May 2020.

Please keep in mind that new site proposals *must* be submitted for approval and while we'd love to support everyone, we won't be able to support every site proposed, thus not all sites are guaranteed to be chosen.

If you have any questions, please reach out to ECOSLO anytime at programs@ecoslo.org or call at (805) 544-1777.  Please keep in mind we are typically in the office Tuesdays - Fridays.

Thank you and we're looking forward to your participation in Creeks to Coast Cleanup!
