Join members of our community in asking the Great Questions of humankind through discussions of transformative texts.
While all are welcome to attend, this RSVP form is required.
The Spring 2024 Community Seminar will focus on Jame's Baldwins 1962 essay, Down at The Cross (February 7) and a selection from Gloria Anzaldúa's, Borderlands/La Frontera: The New Mestiza (March 8). In these texts, both Baldwin and Anzaldúa confront and question the religious systems that have shaped their identities, offering insights into the complexities of faith and its intersection with issues of race, culture, and societal norms. Engage with Bladwin, Anzaldúa' and each other in exploring the intersection of race, religion and political culture in shaping a future worth hoping for.
It's not necessary to have ever attended a Community Seminar before, so first time attendees are very welcome!
