As we move into the fall season, the leadership of Bethany Lutheran Church and our Re-Opening Subcommittee is continuing to explore how our congregation can safely resume in-person, on-site worship and when that will be. We are carefully accounting for the Bishop's guidance, as well as the guidance of the CDC, the governor’s office, and local public health and medical officials. We want to hear from you as another important source of input and will be reaching out to those without email as well.

Communal singing and communion at the altar are high risk activities for in-person worship. Currently we have been seeking ways to lower the risks of these important worship activities in person. Please share your thoughts on in-person worship with changes to these elements:

I would rather gather physically for a worship service of prayer, the Word, and being physically together, even if it means sitting further apart and quietly singing/humming, and taking communion in my vehicle after worship concludes.

I would rather continue worshiping online and participating in singing and communion there until there is little to no risk in doing so in person.
