UU Wellspring is offering the "Sources" program online, beginning in early January to ask the question poet Mary Oliver poses, “What will you do with this one wild and precious life?”
Religious Professionals (ministers, seminarians, interns, religious educators, music directors, paid memberships staff, and administrators) will be in one group. Lay members and UU friends will be in a second group. Each group will be led by a religious professional.
Note that Spiritual Directors who are also UU religious professionals and participate in covenanted professional organizations should join the religious professionals group. Other spiritual directors should join the lay group.
UU Wellspring, inc. is a 10-month program of distinctly Unitarian Universalist spiritual development designed to help participants deepen their spiritual lives and sustain the work we are called to do. Begun in 2005, the program celebrates the depth and breadth of our rich religious tradition. We will take a break in July and we'll finish up in November of 2020.
UU Wellspring incorporates five elements designed to balance a knowledge of UU history/theology with personal spiritual practice and engagement with the world:
*A commitment to daily spiritual practice
*Participation in a small-group community
*Individual work with a spiritual director
*Readings and resources for knowledge and reflection
*Reflection and commitment to live out our values in the work
NOTE: You are also responsible for class fees (see below for sliding scale); 3-4 books, and a monthly spiritual director. See this link for more information on Spiritual Direction (
