Kids on Stage Application 2021-2022
Proof of vaccination is required to participate in Kids on Stage. Students who are selected to audition will be notified by Wednesday, January 19, 2022, and will be asked to send proof of vaccination to confirm their audition.

Due to the current COVID-19 surge, candidates will be asked to submit video auditions.

Kids on Stage Musician applications are open for students in Grade 6-9.
Kids on Stage Conducting Apprenticeship applications are open for students in Grade 8-12.

Students must complete the online application form (including essay paragraphs) and send in their letter of recommendation to be considered for an audition.

Section V: Recommendation
One recommendation letter is required. It must be from someone not related to the student, preferably a music teacher at school or a private lesson teacher. Please have teachers email signed letters in PDF format to analisa.bell@nypops.org or mail to: The New York Pops, 39 Broadway, Suite 1150, New York, NY 10006 Attn: PopsEd. Letters must be postmarked no later than the application deadline of December 31, 2021.
Section VI: Policies
This application does not guarantee an audition. If selected for an audition, students will be notified and emailed audition instructions by 5pm, Wednesday, January 19, 2022.

By submitting this application, I guarantee that if selected for Kids on Stage, I will be available for the following mandatory dates:

Online orientation - Friday, February 25 6pm-7pm

Group Introduction Activity - Friday, March 4, 2021 - attend The New York Pops concert at Carnegie Hall 7pm-10pm

First rehearsal - Sunday, March 20, 12pm-3pm

Second rehearsal - Sunday, March 27 (French Woods Interviews), 12pm-3pm

Third rehearsal - Sunday, April 10, 12pm-3pm

Fourth rehearsal - Sunday, April 24, 12pm-3pm

GALA rehearsal and performance, Monday, April 25, 12pm-4pm rehearsal/7pm-8:30pm performance

Video recording tutorial and submission day - Sunday, May 1, 12pm-1pm

Video release/watch party - Sunday, May 22, 12pm-1pm
