Thank you for your interest in Radford University's Summer Bridge Program!

For more than a decade, the Summer Bridge has engaged students in an immersive STEM experience at Radford University.   Even during the height of the pandemic in 2020, we were able to conduct a hybrid program.

Our plan for 2022 is to be in person for a five day, residential program held on the campus of Radford University.  July 17-22.

That said, we will not know for sure how COVID 19 is still impacting Virginia and our ability to meet but will monitor the situation and keep you posted.

Students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of STEM activities inside and outside the classroom and will explore regional and area businesses related to Science and Technology.  In 2022 we plan to travel to space as we explore rocket science, geology on other planets, biology of space travel and more.

The Radford University Artis College of Science and Technology Summer Bridge Program: WOMEN IN STEM serves rising sophomore, junior, and senior high school students by facilitating a week of exploration in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) from Virginia and other states. The Summer Bridge Program upholds the Radford University Artis College of Science and Technology (RUACSAT) commitment to enhancing science education and to increasing the number of women in STEM fields. The Summer Bridge Program is not limited to female participants and any rising sophomore, junior, and senior high school student interested in Women in STEM is invited to apply.
