Friday, April 12, 2024, Richcraft Hall, Carleton University (*with virtual options)
The central aim of the conference is to provide a venue for graduate students in cognitive science – at both the Master’s and Ph.D. level – to present and receive feedback on their work, and to interact with each other in a friendly, supportive, and inclusive environment.
*Talks (including the workshop) will be held in person, at Carleton University, and on Zoom. Posters will be presented in person and some may be uploaded for asynchronous viewing (pending authors’ permission).
The conference opens at 10:00, with presentations from 11:00 - 16:30.
10:20 - 10:50 Workshop: Academic CV vs resume. The WiCSC+ Trainee Board will be delivering a workshop aimed at students wishing to learn more about academic CVs and resumes. Members of the Board will provide a brief presentation on the differences between a traditional resume and an academic CV. This will be followed by an open Q&A session hosted by panelists with a range of academic, alt-ac, and industry work experience.
Attendees are welcome to participate in an informal post-conference gathering starting at 16:30 at Mike’s Pub (on campus).
