Co-Curricular Pledge
CO-CURRICULAR PLEDGE: Prescott School District

Student Agreements:
I agree to assume full responsibility for all equipment issued to me and to confine the use of that equipment to practices, games, meets, or events. I will further agree to pay for all equipment that I may lose, misplace, or damage through carelessness or intent. I agree to abide by all the rules and regulation set forth by our Co-Curricular Code. This pledge is in effect for one calendar year from the date signed.

Parent Agreement:
As parents we understand that participation in school sponsored extracurricular activities is a privilege and that all such participation is voluntary. We are aware that playing or practicing in any extracurricular activity can be dangerous, involving many risks of injury. We also understand that some activities, ie football, wrestling, baseball and softball involve even greater risk of injury than others, and that such injuries can be permanently disabling, crippling or fatal. Because of the dangers of participating in such activities, I/we recognize the importance of following the coach’s/advisor’s instruction regarding playing techniques, training and other rules, etc. and agree to obey such instructions. I/we also understand that in the event of possible injury or illness requiring medical or dental attention for your son or daughter, the physician and dentist you indicated on your physical or alternate year card will be contacted if needed. In emergency situations, Prescott School personnel will seek immediate emergency first aid, medical or dental assistance from the nearest qualified source.

Sportsmanship Policy Prescott Schools encourage positive spectator support at all co-curricular events. Spectators are encouraged to cheer for our participants in a positive manner and to treat the opposing team and officials with respect. Showing good sportsmanship means: 1. Treat all officials with proper respect on and off the court/field. 2. Showing respect to our coaches, players, cheerleaders, fellow fans, and opponents. No individuals will be singled out by name to be openly criticized. 3. Use positive cheers. 4. Display proper behavior at all times. Remember that you are a role model. 5. Using alcohol or drugs at any event or attending any event under the influence will not be tolerated. The penalty for disregarding these rules of sportsmanship will result in the immediate removal from school property. Further action may be taken depending on the seriousness of the situation.
