POLICIES
General MAHD Policies
Parents are kindly asked to notify MAHD when their child will be absent from class.
Please refrain from using cell phones during class time.
Please be considerate of our facilities and students, we kindly ask that you remove all boots and shoes in the porch. Please refrain from walking on studio floors with outdoor shoes.
Cancelled Class Policy
If classes are cancelled due to teacher illness or performance obligations the classes missed will be added to the end of the term.
If classes are cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control (i.e.: inclement weather, power outages, etc) classes may be held online if possible.
A general rule of thumb is if the schools are closed, we will be closed. An email will be sent when classes are cancelled.
The last week of classes in each term is free of charge in order for dancers to make up for any classes that may have been missed throughout the term.
Payment Structure
Fees are based on a ten month dance year from September to June. Please see the MAHD schedule for more information.
The dance year consists of two terms:
Term One: September- December
Term Two: January- June
Payment must be received within the first two months of each term in order to avoid a $25 late payment charge.
There are NO REFUNDS. Your payment and registration are an agreement between yourself and McCorkell Academy of Highland Dance for a stated period of time.
You are advised that you are responsible for the full payment of the term for which you are registered.
Dress Code for Dance Classes
Proper dance attire is encouraged for all classes (eg. tank top, shorts, knee high socks) - no jeans or pajama pants.
For all classes hair should be tied back/off the face.
Dance slippers should be worn for Highland classes and running shoes should be worn for Highland Hustle classes.
Please bring a water bottle.
Valuables should not be brought to the studio, as we are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
