500 Women Scientists seeks to create a more just and inclusive society and scientific enterprise. Toward this aim, we sometimes write opinion pieces, letters to the editor, and guest columns for publication in a diversity of outlets, either individually or as part of 500WS Pods or Strike Teams. See examples here. To help ensure our written pieces are as impactful as possible, we are forming a new Editorial Board (EB). Each person in this pool of potential editors will likely be asked to weigh in on one or two short pieces (500 - 1,500 words) per year to improve on content and writing style. When an EB member accepts an assignment, we'll expect a timely response and willingness to conduct multiple rounds of review.
