DESA Parent and Student Handbook & Student Agendas – I agree to read and be accountable for the information contained in the handbook. The handbook is located on the school’s website and in the front of school’s agendas for students. I understand that all students in grades 1-7 will receive an agenda to record homework and students are expected to bring the agenda home and to school every day. Field Trip Permission - I give permission for my child to attend all educational, visual, and performing arts field trips taken by DESA, during the 2019-2020 school year. Information will be sent home regarding the date, time, and location of all field trips. See our school calendar for field trip dates. Magnet Fees & Additional Fees – I agree to pay a magnet fee of $60.00 per student which covers the following: 1) Admission and transportation for arts field trips; 2) Field Day T-shirt; 3) Lighting and sound equipment as needed; 4) Honor’s Day certificates and awards, 5) DESA Jacket with student’s name on it.; 6) End of the year school wide ice cream party. The fee may be paid in full at the beginning of the year or in two increments of $30.00 each. Payments may be made in cash or by money order. All fees MUST be paid by the end of November. The fee does not cover club dues or school musical fees. Original Work Release - I give permission to display my child's original art work on the DESA School Web Site and Instagram page. In addition, I give permission to display the original art work of my child in public businesses with prior notification provided to the parent.
