Sukkot Climate Caravan for Clean Energy, Eco-Justice & Good, Green Jobs

Thursday, September 23rd at 10 am @ 451 Hungerford Drive, Rockville

During the harvest festival of Sukkot, in this season of both joy and mindfulness of our
interdependence with the natural world, join Jewish communities in speaking out for our life-
giving climate.  We are calling on Senator Ben Cardin, Senator Chris Van Hollen and Rep.
Jeremy Raskin to prioritize a healthy climate, clean energy, green jobs, and eco-justice in Congress.

We’ll gather in the parking lot behind Senator Cardin’s Rockville office to sound the shofar (if you have one, bring yours!), sing together, and speak out together as Jewish protectors of the single dwelling we share. We’ll conclude by sending off our Sukkot climate caravan, a sukkah on a pickup truck, to bring our message directly to Congress.

You are welcome to bring a shofar, and/or a lulav and etrog.

COVID protocol: Please wear masks for this entirely outdoor event, and plan to cover the end of
your shofar if you bring one.
