The Asian American Cultural Center is hosting a South Asian American Leadership Conference on Saturday, February 22, 2020. South Asian Americans are one of the most rapidly growing groups in Illinois and the nation. The South Asian American Leadership Conference was created to educate and empower students to network and develop relations among South Asian students to foster unity, strengthen the community, provide opportunities for leadership development, and offer safe spaces to talk about the issues and challenges South Asian American students face.
This conference is FREE for all University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign students. Registration check-in will be on Friday, February 21st at the Asian American Cultural Center (1210 W. Nevada, Urbana, Il 61801) from 4pm-9pm. The conference will take place on Saturday, February 22nd from 10am to 3:30pm, followed by a variety show from 5pm to 7pm, all in Lincoln Hall.
