Since the release of guidance/mandates from the Illinois State Board of Education on June 23, the district has been working to develop a feasible plan to reopen schools as scheduled on August 17, for students.  Below are three guiding principles that have been and will continue to be considered as the plan continues to be developed:

1. Safety for all students and staff.
2. Minimize the spread and impact if someone tests positive.
3. Have all students and staff return to school for full days, every day.
