Hello Parents, Guardians & PTA Members we on the Purvis Primary Transformation Team invite you to complete this survey and provide your insight into what types of goods you would like to be made available in Phase One of the Cedar Room Café.
The Cedar Room Café in its final phase is going to be a student run café where children can learn and create real world experiences to help them develop skills in the service and hospitality industry. Other aspects of what goes into running a business like advertising and marketing, daily management & finances will also be part of the experiences students can expect to have while involved with the café. In this beginning phase however, we would like to start by offering beverages and food items to parents and guardians in the morning, recess and afternoons on Monday and Wednesday's. On Monday & Wednesday we would like to offer goods at a self service capacity from 7:30 - 8:30am & 3:00 - 4:00pm. During recess students who are interested will work in the café serving parents, teachers and other adults who are apart of the Purvis Primary community on site at the time. Pop Up events will also be scheduled and during these events the café will operate at a larger capacity with students being able to participate in the organization and running of the café between 3:00 - 4:00pm. During these events students will participate in but are not limited to catering to customers, handling funds, and the selling of other goods & fresh Purvis produce.
In Phase One we will be offering hot and cold beverages as well as pastries and other goods during in the morning drop off, recess, and afternoons around collection on Monday and Wednesday's. All hot beverages, pastries and fresh baked food items will be purchased from Latte's by Hasco. We are excited to announce that they have partnered with us here at Purvis Primary with this initiative and as this concept grows and extends past Phase One so will their level of involvement. This initiative is due to start in the upcoming school year to go live for September 2023 and we would like to hear from you regarding what types of food and goods you would like to see offered in the Café.
