At Nature Connect we want every client to have fun, learn and grow on our Environmental Education programmes.

To ensure that we maintain a safe environment and that each person is free to experience environmental education and camp life to its fullest we will not tolerate any behaviour that takes that opportunity away from someone else. To ensure this, this code of conduct has been implemented.

Guiding principles:
• To ensure the rights of all individuals are protected
• To establish the safest and best possible learning environment for all participants
• To ensure that all participants have fun, learn and grow in nature

Expectations:
• All participants have the responsibility to treat one another, the staff, the property and the natural environment with respect.
• All participants have the responsibility to behave in a way which does not endanger, intimidate or interfere with the participation of others.
• All participants are to follow the instructions given by the educator at all times. Teachers/group leaders are responsible for the discipline of the group. Nature Connect educators have the right to stop/cancel the programme/activity if the group is unruly.
• One Educator/Adult must accompany a group of 20 learners for all activities. If this does not happen we regret that the activity would be cancelled.
• On arrival please provide us with a list of names of leaners and educators/adults along with signed indemnity forms. NO indemnity form = NO programme.

Rules – the following forms of behaviour is considered a violation of this document and considered unacceptable
• Respect for our natural environment means no littering, saving water and electricity. Damaging of any plants, animals, nests, etc. is strictly prohibited.
• All waste to be placed into provided bins
• The following will not be permitted:
o Any tobacco products, alcohol, non-prescription drugs, and weapons.
o Using language which is offensive, sexist or racist.
o Fighting, bullying or any other form of aggressive behaviour
o Unruly behaviour
o Leaving camp boundaries without permission
o Behaving in a manner which is dangerous to oneself and others
o Behaving in a manner which damages the property of others or the site
o Hygiene and cleanliness is expected in our ablutions and dorms/tents
o No electronic devices (Cell phones) (we are not responsible for any loses)
o Strictly no lighting of fires is allowed
