Please fill out this form to register.  There is limited spacing for each event, please only register if you can attend. More information about each event will be sent to the email you list below around 72 hours prior to your event.   To get all information on the event go to https://www.georgiacyber.org/calendars/events-field-trips.  Once events fill to capacity, I will email families that registered to let them know.  Please be sure to go to the GCA Calendar to find out all information on the event.  You must register to attend. Event registration will closed the morning of the event to allow for families to receive their link before the session.  You may email anyone from the Community team below for assistance.

Virtual -Microsoft Monday+  - August 9- 12p - 1p .  Join us for our session with Microsoft for our Microsoft Monday+ series for August!  Earn your virtual badge and have fun with your GCA friends.  This week we are practicing Minecraft coding! Be sure to look out for the session link closer to the date of the event and if you are a young reader have someone assist along the way.   See you there virtually!  Ideal for 3rd grade and up.
Virtual - Hour of Science with Ms. Rosita   - August 12th– 12p - 1p - Have you ever wondered about different types of severe weather and what causes it? Join Ms. Rosita virtually to find out more about the different types of weather that can be found in Georgia. We will do a mini experiment about tornados. We will also have a meteorologist from the National Weather Service to answer any questions that you may have about the weather. This event is ideal for elementary school students.
Gainesville - The INK Museum  (Interactive Neighborhood for Kids)   - August 12th – 3p – 4:30p  - At the Ink Museum, you will find a one-of-a kind unique, fun destination for the entire family. Interactive Neighborhood for Kids, Inc. (INK), located in Gainesville, Georgia, is a hands-on Children’s Museum where children can role play and learn through practical experiences. All exhibits are designed to provide a unique experience and to actively engage young minds (not to mention, it’s just plain fun!).  There is limited spacing for this event.  GCA will cover one adult and all children registered for the outing.  The event is most appropriate for students in Pre-K-4th grade.  Please note you must follow site mandates and rules to attend this event.  Reminders and notes will be sent to all that register.
Atlanta - Physics at Top Golf- High School only  - August 13th– 11a - 1p  -  Come test your physics knowledge and driving skills at Top Golf in Midtown Atlanta. This event is for high school students only (9th-12th grade).   Limited spots available. These are student tickets only. Learning Coaches will be responsible for their own tickets/bay rentals.  Per the site, mask are required while in the building, but not in the bays.
Virtual -ETO Fitness Friday: Self Defense  - August 13th - 12p - 12:30p - Self-Defense is a countermeasure that involves defending the health and well-being of oneself from harm. Builds character as well as physical and mental health. The class is fun and inviting for all ages. Join GCA and let's workout as one and have some fun with it. Hope to see you there. This is ideal for all ages.
Virtual - Microsoft Monday+  - August 16th– 12p – 1p  -  Join us for our session with Microsoft for our Microsoft Monday+ series for August!  Earn your virtual badge and have fun with your GCA friends.  This week we are exploring the Smithsonian National Zoo online! Be sure to look out for the session link closer to the date of the event and if you are a young reader have someone assist along the way.
Virtual - Jacksonville Zoo  - August 17 – 12p – 12:30p  -  Stuck indoors but still want a taste of the wild? Let us brighten up your day with a virtual visit from one, two, or three of our Education Animal Ambassadors through Zoom! Our animals might be small, but they have big personalities! Hear fun facts and personal stories while getting close-up views of fur, feathers, scales, and more.  This event is open to all ages.  
Macon Museum of Arts & Sciences  - August 17th – 3p – 4:30p  -Join us at the Macon Museum as we learn about lemurs, play In the discovery house and take a self-guided tour of the museum. GCA will cover one adult chaperone and all children registered  Limited number of spaces available.
Virtual - Columbus Museum   - August 19th– 10a - 11a-  Join us virtually at the Columbus Museum where we will solve a mystery. Look closely to uncover big ideas running throughout the collection. Supported by hands-on gallery activities and drama-based movement strategies. Ideal for students in 5th - 12th grade.
Virtual - The Chattanooga Zoo - August 20th - 12p – 1p   -Join us for a virtual tour of Amazing Asia at the Chattanooga Zoo!  We will view animals live, ask questions of our Zookeeper friend and have fun virtually learning all about their habitats and fun facts!  This event is for all ages!
Virtual - Corny Creations Honey Bees Lesson #2   - August 23rd– 12pm  - 1pm - Join us for a virtual live stream with our friends at Corny Creations. During our Honey Bee event, students will learn more about the invaluable importance of these powerful little pollinators. Students will learn more about honey bees, multiple types of bees and will also have the chance to discover the activity of bees within their hives and honey comb. Ask questions to the expert! A special guest will be there to assist with the program! We hope to see you there virtually! Ideal for all grades.

Savannah Children's Museum  - August 25 – 2:30p - 3:45p  - Join us for an afternoon of fun in person at the museum!  This event is for elementary school aged students so please join us for an adventure in person at the museum.  GCA will cover one adult chaperone and all children registered.  There is a limited capacity for this event.
Virtual - Oatland Island Wildlife Center   - August 26– 12:15p – 12:45p  -The Oatland Island Wildlife Center of Savannah is home to more than 150 animals from 50 different species.  The animals are exhibited in large natural habitats along a rustic trail through forest and marsh lands. Join us as we virtually visit with our animal friends.  Ideal for all ages.
 Virtual - Current & Informed: Newsies and Games (MS/HS only) -  August 27– 3:30 - 4:30p  - Calling all middle and high school students. This is our special virtual time to discuss current events and play games. What will today's game be: Skribl, Kahoot, Scavengar Hunt.  Come join in on the fun. Never know, you may win a prize or two or a chance to guest host.  This virtual event is for Middle and High School students only.  
Virtual - Hands on Science GCA Baking Event   - August 30 – 12p – 1:00p  - We are kick starting our school year with some Baking fun with R Day Creations!  We are excited to work with a master baker and learn an amazing recipe for a homemade treat with Mrs. Ronda! Join us to find out what delicious dessert Ronda is going to make with your secret ingredient. Be sure to get help from a parent/adult if you need to and have your area ready with your ingredients! Send in your pictures while you bake so they can be shared. Those who want to bake with us and register will receive a list of supplies for the event in your confirmation and reminder emails.  We will also post the ingredients on the site on August 16th!  This event is open to all ages.
Calling all GCA High School Students!  Join us for  Usher (Raymond's) New Look Leadership Academy!  In these virtual sessions you will gain leadership skills, learn about job readiness, hear great speakers and much more!  There is no cost for this club, more details to come to those who note interest.
