This form is to indicate your interest in attending the 2024 Career Trek that will be hosted by the University of South Alabama's Second Year Experience (SYE) program.
We are inviting up to 40 Second Year Scholars to join us on an exciting opportunity to visit business leaders! On this trip, you will get a chance to meet and learn about top internship and career opportunities. We are finalizing plans for this trip and want to have your input! This trip is FULLY FUNDED (no cost for meals, travel, or lodging)!
To be considered, we ask that you:
- Complete this form
- Attend a Career Trek orientation session
Additionally, we encourage you to complete the following two badges in the Transformational Leadership Program (TLP) course:
- The Crafting Your Paw Print badge, which entails:
- Creating your personal mission statement
- Completing the SMART Goals activity (this can be done at the Transformational Tuesday event on September 26, 2023 or on your own time if you can't attend)
- Completing the Discipline Identity activity (this can be done at the Transformational Tuesday event on October 31, 2023 or on your own time if you can't attend)
- OPTIONAL: Attending an Academic Coaching session with the Academic Advising and Transfer Services Center (AATS)
The Sharpening Your Claws badge, which entails:
- Attending a Career Exploration meeting with Career Services, and uploading your exit ticket to the TLP course
- Getting your Handshake profile to 75% completion
- Crafting and uploading a resume
- OPTIONAL: Attending a career event on campus
