Outstanding Achievement - RAISE23 Awards
Petrus’ annual awards program recognizes outstanding achievement by fundraising professionals and volunteers. Each year, Petrus honors some of the best fundraising campaigns of the past year with the RAISE Awards. In order for a campaign to be eligible, it must have taken place from January 1, 2022 to present, with the winners announced at the RAISE23 Conference in June 2023. You can submit your nominations now through March 31, 2023. Submissions received by the Early Bird Deadline of March 1, 2023 will receive a gift at the conference. Winners of each award category will receive 50% off RAISE24 Conference registration for one individual.

The Award for Outstanding Achievement honors an outstanding nonprofit organization that shows solid fundraising program growth, breadth in the base of support, outstanding leadership and other indicators of an exemplary fundraising program over the past 1-5 years. Applying for this award can be either self-nominated or nominated by someone outside of the organization. If an outside individual nominates an organization for this award, Petrus may contact the organization for additional information.

The awards committee considers a number of factors and variables, including:

  • Leadership that allows the organization to thrive

  • Patterns of growth to reach goals

  • Evaluation of what contributed to success

  • Overall breadth of fundraising

  • Ability to serve as a model for other institutions

Judges also may consider:

  • Quality and clarity of nomination and supporting materials

  • Special circumstances/overcoming adversity
