You'll be receiving service hours for watching a movie with residents! When you arrive to this event, the staff and Herralink executives will be bringing the residents into the dining hall for the movie. While we set up, sit next to a resident and take a genuine interest in their life. Introduce yourself and ask them to do the same. Ask them whatever question comes to mind like....- What'd you do when you were younger?
- Have you seen this movie before?
- How was your day today?
If you're finding it's hard to get answers from your resident, then talk about your day! You'll be with other high schoolers, so together, tell them about your life and your interests. Residents enjoy conversations - treat them like you would anyone else!
