Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Oakland Rising!

During these difficult times, we really need our community to come together and help those who are being hit the hardest by unemployment, evictions, deaths of our loved ones, and other complications.

As we navigate these issues and the resources available to our surrounding communities, it is critical that we continue to provide leadership and public education (on top of local resources) to ensure the health & wellbeing of our community long in the long run.

We need volunteers to help us reach our neighbors through text and phone calls to run wellness checks and connect people to resources, inform people of local and countywide policies, and remind people to fill out the 2020 Census.

We also need volunteers to come help us prepare tote bags with emergency disaster preparedness information and Census information and help hand them out to Oakland Unified School District families and food banks throughout Oakland and Hayward (in English and Spanish!).
