TALENT SHOW RULES & GUIDELINES

The 2024 Jefferson Talent Show will be a live, in-person event held at Lincoln High School Auditorium on Friday, March 1, 2024. No videos of acts will be accepted. *

Dress rehearsal attendance on the evening of Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Lincoln High School Auditorium, is REQUIRED.

Acts must feature only Jefferson students. Each student may participate in only ONE Act.

Each act must be less than 3 MINUTES.

Music, attire, and subject matter of all acts MUST be school appropriate. Acts with inappropriate content as determined by the PTA will not be accepted.
Acts must be previewed by Talent Show Committee to gather info about content, length, costumes, music, props and pronunciation of performer’s names. Each act will be assigned a 10-minute preview time during the school day on Feb 14, 15 or 16. Performers, their guardians and teachers will be notified of assigned times.

EMCEES & VOLUNTEERS
Emcees (5th Graders Only)
We are looking for FIVE emcees to help lead the show as positive role models for all performers. Tryouts will be held in February 9 during the school day. Requirements for an emcee include:
  • Must be comfortable and confident on the microphone to enthusiastically introduce each act with correct pronunciation of performer names.
  • Fun-loving desire to collaborate with directors to create, rehearse and perform in opening skit.
  • Willingness to study the show’s lineup.
  • Eagerness to support and encourage all performers.
  • Must be a Jefferson 5th grader.
Volunteers are needed!
