Desert Winds Freedom Band 2023-2024 Season Organization-wide Registration Form
Beginning this Season, the BOD has decided to ask all band members, board members, and volunteers to complete this registration form.  There are several reasons:
  • We want to be certain that we have the phone number, current e-mail address and home address of each member of our organization.
  • We want to know who to contact in your family and how to do it in the event of an emergency.
  • For planning the Band's gigs, the BOD needs close estimates of who plans to rehearse and play for each event.
  • The Band has become better and larger, and the BOD needs to know how each of you will help us to grow, improve,  and nurture our organization.
  • Each Member, Board Member and Volunteer must agree to abide by the Code of Conduct and sign a photo release form.
  • Last, we ask you to pay your dues either now, or as soon as possible.  If you need financial assistance paying your dues, please speak to our Treasurer, Eric Walters.

The BOD is asking members to participate beyond Thursday evening rehearsals and band performances by volunteering.  Please indicate how you might be able to volunteer some time to the Band.  We are asking all members to help with at least one activity. *

The Board is hoping to involve the membership in these three committees and ask that you indicate your interest in serving on one below.  The Committees are:
1.  Social Committee-Schedule, plan and implement Band social events such as the Welcome Back Party, Post Concert Afterglow Party, Post-Rehearsal get togethers, etc.
2.  Media Committee-Implement and maintain a robust and coordinated Band presence on social media, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, web page, Google Landing page.
3.  Volunteer Committee-Organize volunteers for non-musical tasks such as concert set-up/tear-down, staffing the Pride booth, helping at the Gala, helping at concerts (usher, ticket sales, bartending), etc.

Photo/Video Release:
I acknowledge that my likeness may be used in photos and videos for Desert Winds Freedom Band programs, advertisements, social media accounts, and other promotional publications. In addition, sound recordings and videos of all Desert Winds Freedom Band performances may be used for the purposes of Desert Winds Freedom Band. Photos, videos, and recordings may be used without reimbursement to any individual band member.

If you are under 18 years of age when completing this form, please contact the Band President about completion of a parental consent form for your participation.
Dues Notice
Dues this year will be $90 once again.  The Board asks that members pay their dues as soon as possible in the season.  Dues can be paid online in the Members Section of the Band webpage.  You may also pay by check and give the payment to Eric Walters (String Bass) at a rehearsal.
If  you are unable to pay your Band dues, please speak with Eric about this as well.
