Neta Haber, Ayelet Hertswolf, and Orna Etkin Raviv are leading the development of Beit Hankin as a heritage museum and a multidisciplinary space. With the help of the Beit Hankin Association in Kfar Yehoshua and a team of volunteers, Beit Hankin was reopened after many years. The team worked to preserve and develop the building and display and opened a contemporary art gallery that responds to the values of the place and its historical objects. A wide renovation is now taking place at Beit Hankin.
The lecture will be divided into two parts. Haber will open and discuss the transition from Europe to Kfar Yehoshua, how the moshav was established, and the development of Beit Hankin from an education center into a multidisciplinary art gallery. Hertswolf will follow and discuss the leading curatorial ideas of the art gallery at Beit Hankin.
