Hello and welcome!
As members of NHS our goal is to provide Peer Tutoring for students in the Syosset Central School District.
Peer tutoring is in place to assist students with questions and concerns they may have with their current academics. Please note, the tutoring is not for remedial or enrichment purposes and our tutors are not expected to create their own materials or lessons for students.
If your child needs help with more than one subject, fill out a separate form for each subject, and please only select courses that your child is currently enrolled in. Provide your contact information below, along with any other important details, and your child will be paired accordingly with an NHS tutor.
The time, date and place in which your child/children will meet with a tutor are all to be determined between you and an NHS tutor, respectively. NHS members are required to tutor for at least FIVE HOURS at no cost. After the five free hours of tutoring is complete, an agreed upon amount to charge is decided between you (the parent/guardian) and the NHS tutor.
