Join us online via zoom on February 1st at 5:15pm for social time and 5:30 for a panel discussion featuring local conservators with diverse expertise as they share their experiences treating plastics and mixed media objects. This engaging conversation will delve into conservation across various specialties, including art, design objects, historic artifacts, paper/archival media, costume/textiles, and time-based media. The panel aims to create an open and candid platform to discuss current research as well as practical treatment advice. The panel includes:
  • Kris Cnossen, Owner of Midwest Textile Conservation, LLC
  • Mary Coughlin, Associate Professor at The George Washington University
  • Kiri Douglas, Paper Conservation Fellow at the National Gallery of Art
  • Luke Moses, Time-Based Media Conservator at the National Portrait Gallery
