RMRT Horse Application Form

Thank you for your interest in having your horse join the herd at Rocky Mountain Riding Therapy! Our horses are the heart of all that we do and as such we view them as our partners in our work. Their health and happiness is of the utmost importance to us. Because of this, we ask that you please fill out the application below with full honesty. This will help us determine if our programs are the right fit for your horse by our trainer and another member of our team. After submitting your application, you will be contacted by our horse trainer to discuss your application and a potential evaluation of your horse. This evaluation gives us a chance to meet you and your horse in person to better determine if our programs will be the right fit for you both. If that is the case then your horse will come to our barn for a 90 day trial period. During this time they will be introduced to our herd, receive the training that they need to prepare them for our programs, and will start in our programs to ensure that they enjoy the work. Please note that even the greatest horse may not enjoy this work. If that is the case then we will respect that and will not pass them into our programs.

Our lease is a free lease in which the owner does not pay any board to RMRT and RMRT does not pay a lease fee to the owner. The owner is  responsible for covering the costs of veterinary care, farrier care, any grain and supplements that the horse needs, or any other specialized items that the horse may require. If our programs are no longer the right fit for your horse or we become unable to care for your horse in a way that meets our Horse Care Standards, then we will retire your horse from our programs and you will be asked to take your horse from the property.

This application takes approximately 10 - 15 minutes to complete.

Thank you for taking the time to complete this application! If you have any questions, please email our trainer, Carrie Antoine, at rmrt.equinemanager@gmail.com
