Our Special Friends of the Fair Program gives special needs groups the opportunity to join in the fun at the Fair at a drastically reduced rate of only $1 per person!

WHO QUALIFIES?
  • Special Friends of the Fair program is for legally registered organizations that serve persons with physical or mental disabilities/limitations.
  • No individual special needs admission is available.
WHEN CAN WE ATTEND?
  • Groups can attend any day of the Fair, but only Special Friends Day will have specific programming and free rides.
  • Group Admission Vouchers can be used on the day indicated on the form.
  • SPECIAL FRIENDS OF THE FAIR DAY is Wednesday, September 11, 2024. This morning features special programming specifically for our special friends. 

WHAT TO DO

  • Special needs group requests must be made in advance. 
  • No groups will be allowed to make a request for the discounted admission at the gate.
  • Complete this online request form on or before the DEADLINE: Friday, August 16th, 2024. 
  • Due to the demands of fair preparations, we are unable to accommodate late requests.

ADMISSION

  • If your request is accepted, a Special Needs Voucher will be mailed to you (or per your request, left in Will Call at the Fair Administration Building– 155 North 1000 West, Salt Lake City.
  • Admission must be paid on the day of visit at any Utah State Fair ticket booth. 
  • The preauthorized Special Needs Voucher must be presented to purchase the $1.00 admission.
  • Admission must be paid in a single transaction (cash, a single check, one money order, or one credit card.) No purchase orders or billing is available.
  • Organization must arrange to arrive as one group. No individual tickets are issued.
  • Parking cost is the responsibility of the organization. Special Friends admission does not include additional ticketed entertainment such as concerts.
