Please read this consent form before you decide to participate in this survey.

Purpose of the survey:

We are the organizational team of the "Klaipeda-European Youth Capital 2021" project. We aim to raise public awareness and openness for many youth's issues including emotional, psychological, and social well-being of young people. We would also like to encourage institutions and young people to pay more attention to the topics of mental health and well-being especially during this COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, the current research is being conducted to investigate the effect of the overall COVID-19 pandemic period on young people in Europe.

Risks and Benefits:
While this survey deals with emotional well-being, stress levels and a variety of mental states, sometimes thinking about one's own feelings and emotions can be disturbing for some people. If the questions make you feel uncomfortable, please do not participate. Your participation in this research is voluntary.  If you choose not to participate or to withdraw from the study at any time, there will be no penalty and your results will be discarded. There is no extra credit or other incentive for participating. Therefore, you will not be adversely affected in any way if you choose not to participate.

Confidentiality:
The information you provide during your participation in this survey will remain strictly confidential. The results of the study may be published but your name will not be known. The information you provide during the course of this research will not be used for any purpose outside the scope of this project. If you choose to participate, please complete the survey according to the directions provided.

Time required and what you will be asked to do in the study:
If you decide to participate, you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire that will take about 7-10 minutes to complete. The study involves a demographic and psychological well-being questionnaire. Please read the questions carefully and answer honestly. There are no right or wrong answers to any of the questions.

Please note that completion and return of the survey indicates that you are at least 18 years of age or you have  a parental permission for the participation in the research.
