Imagine we will create an event (e.g., Gather Town) for all participants to socialize with each other. We will provide a list of attendees' names (who are willing to attend). On this list, would you like to provide the information "What kind of help are you looking for from others (peers&senior researchers)?" If so, please write down the types of help you are looking for:
For the above event to be reciprocal, "what type of help can you offer to others (peers, senior researchers, save the time for organizers, etc.)?"
Stating Your Interest in Small-Group Mentoring. (We are testing out a novel form, Small-Group Mentoring, where each mentor can be matched with several mentees for small-group discussions and personal career suggestions. Details: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-Z4pgk1c35SfRdoinU21osDQn5NlITvnuGYleFGXPuk/edit#)
If you are interested in joining the lottery of the above Small-Group Mentoring, link to your CV (e.g., Google Drive link). We will only share it with a small pool of mentors who are interested in taking mentees. Put "N/A" if not applicable.
Link to your transcript (for mentors to check your courses and knowledge background). Put "N/A" if not applicable
What type of mentors and mentorship formats are you looking for? (We will show this to a pool of mentors. They will contact you if they can help with what you look for & you are a good fit for them too.)
Within-100-word pitch to your mentors why you are a good fit for them. (We might expect the majority of mentors to be experienced PhDs, postdocs, industry researchers, and people who have time and passion to help with the mentorship. We might expect 20-50 slots in total.)
Preferred end date of this small-group mentoring. We plan to make the small-group mentoring not a fixed-for-ever event, but do it period by period. Maybe each period can be 3-month, 6-month, 9-month, 1-year, or long-term ones. You can always re-apply to another mentoring group at the end of your current group.
