This pet return request form is intended ONLY for pets that have been adopted from Richmond Animal League. Please have the primary adopter (the individual who signed you pet's adoption contract) complete the request form below.

Please know that our primary commitment is to our rescue partners to pull pets at risk of euthanasia.  In between these commitments we work through return requests for pets adopted from us.  A return is NOT a guarantee and can take time to accommodate. Return appointments are scheduled after approval.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT WALK IN SURRENDERS.

We always recommend independent rehoming as the first step as entering a shelter environment can be stressful for most pets.
