The Regional Netball 16's Academy is suitable for netballers who want to further develop their skills and take the next step in their netball pathway. The squads will be coached by NHKC coaches and Director of Coaching Grahame Johnston. You will also have the chance of training alongside the best netballers in HK for this age group. NHKC use the Academy program as a platform for talent identification purposes and to enhance potential athletes for the National Youth Squads. A touring team will be selected from the two squads to travel overseas for a training tour. Players will train at their regional venues in the Squad stages of the program but if achieving selection for the 2023 Touring Squad, players will need to train at both venues through to Tournament.

投球地區訓練計劃 (後稱區隊) 歡迎有志於提昇投球技術及進一步於投球發展之球員參加。區隊的成立旨意發掘有潛質的運動員並希望她們能夠在投球運動員階梯邁進。區隊由香港投球總會訓練，參選隊員將得到與全港最高水平之投球運動員一起集訓的寶貴經驗。香港投球總會希望借本訓練計劃發掘更多有潛質的運動員加以培訓後成為未來香港青少年代表隊代表成員。本會將在16歲或以下區隊選出10至12名球員參與海外集訓，詳情稍後公布。

Regional Academy Structure 訓練模式

Pre-Trial sessions: Saturdays 5, 12 and 19 August 8am to 11am at Shun Lee Tsuen Sports Centre and 9, 16 and 23 August 7pm to 10pm at Hong Kong Park Sports Centre. Open to any players wanting to trial for the Kowloon and Island Squads. This is not compulsory however you must be registered to join the pre-trial session. There will be a limit to number of participants accepted for the pre-trial sessions due to limited space. Participants not joining the pre-trial sessions can still trial for the Island and Kowloon Squads.

Expectations for players in the PRE TRIAL SESSIONS:
Players wanting to attend the pre-trial sessions must be able to commit to all three sessions (5,12 and19 August SLT Sports Centre, Kowloon Squad and 9,16 and 23 August HKP Sports Centre Island Squad) and must be intending to trial for either Island or Kowloon Squad.

SQUAD TRIALS AND TRAINING: **The trials and fitness test dates are compulsory to players who would like to be considered for that squad. If you cannot attend for whatever reason, you must email grahame@netball.org.hk and apply for exemption and give clear reasons for not being able to join in those 3 sessions. Players may be asked to join in the other squad's trial/fitness testing to make up for the missed sessions.

Island Squad Trial 1: Wednesday 30th August HK Park 7pm-10pm
Island Squad Fitness Test: Wednesday 6th September HK Park 7pm-9pm

Kowloon Squad Trial 1: Saturday 26th August Shun Lee Tsuen SC 8am to 11am
Kowloon Squad Fitness Test: Saturday 2nd September Shun Lee Tsuen SC 8am -10am

There is an U15 Tour to be selected from the two squads to attend the 12th International Youth Netball Challenge and it will be held at the Singapore Sports School from 21 to 28 November 2023. The Under 15 Category is open to players born on or after 1 January 2008.

Tentative Trials dates for Touring Squad:

1st Trial Wednesday 18th October Hong Kong Park SC 7-9pm

2nd Trial Saturday 21st October Shun Lee Tsuen SC 8-10am

選拔前訓練:
日期: 月及日 (逢星期六)
時間: 早上10點至中午點
地點: 順利邨體育館

所有16歲以下並有意參加香港島及九龍區之人士均可以參加。選拔前訓練並不是強制參與，而參選隊員必須於課程前申請(申請表內附有參加選項)。由於場地空間有限，參選隊員數量將會被限制。沒有參加選拔前訓練者仍能參與香港島和九龍區的區隊選拔。

參加選拔前訓練者:
必須出席所有選拔前訓練(月及日)以及有意參加香港島或九龍區的區隊選拔。

**區隊選拔和訓練:
參選隊員必須出席選拔及體能測試，以作香港投球總會參考。如參選隊員不能出席，參選隊員需發送電郵到grahame@netball.org.hk，並於郵件中清楚列明不能參與的原因，參選隊員有可能被通知參加其他課程的選拔以代替原有相關項目。

參與海外集訓之運動員均從香港島及九龍區兩者中選出。海外集訓之詳情會在確認後公佈。只有在香港島及九龍區區隊中獲選的運動員能參與海外集訓之選拔。

Training Schedule 訓練時間表

Island Squad: WEDNESDAY evenings from 7pm to 9pm at HK Park Sports Centre

Kowloon Squad: SATURDAY from 8am to 10am at Shun Lee Tsuen Sports Centre

*Attendance for squad selection trials and fitness testing are compulsory. If athletes would like to seek exemption, they must write an email to the grahame@netball.org.hk and explain the reason/s for not attending. If you are selected into the squad, an 80% attendance rate is required for all the trainings. (ie. you cannot miss more than 2 sessions). Touring team sessions are subject to change depending the tour dates but players are expected to be able to make the Touring Team sessions should they want to be selected for the Tour. When tour squads are selected and if you make a tour squad you will need to make all trainings at both venues leading into Tournaments or games this is 6 sessions pre tournament.

香港島:
時間: 逢星期三晚上7時至晚上9時

**由於場地可用性關係，訓練時間改為星期三晚上

九龍區:
時間: 逢星期六早上8時至早上10時
地點: 順利邨體育館

*所有有意入選區隊的球員必須出席選拔日子及體能測試。缺席者必須發送電郵到 grahame@netball.org.hk 並於電郵中附上缺席的原因。獲選者必須出席80%以上之課堂(不能缺席多於兩節訓練)。海外集訓隊的訓練會根據海外集訓行程有所調動，有意入選海外集訓隊的球員必須出席所有海外集訓隊的訓練。
