Carbon Footprint Survey
Over the past few decades there has been growing concern over changes in the earth's climate and its anthropogenic origin. Scientists and policy makers are concerned that this climatic shift is the result of excessive emission of Green House Gases primarily due to fossil fuel consumption post industrial revolution.  Greenhouse gases (CO2, CH4, CFCs etc.) are the gases that make up the Earth's atmosphere that help keep the temperature of the Earth's surface relatively constant. Carbon Dioxide is the most prominent greenhouse gas in the Earth's atmosphere.
Carbon footprint is defined as "the total set of greenhouse gas emissions caused by an organization, event, product or person". It is simply a figure - usually a monthly or annual total of CO2 output measured in tons. Or in other words it is a measure of the impact our activities have on the environment, and in particular climate change. The following survey aims at measuring the amount of CO2 (in Kg) emitted by a person in a year.
