I do hereby give my authorization to allow my child to drive to school. I understand that
by doing so, my child will abide by the following:
1. A yearly parking fee of $50.00 will be billed to your FACTS account if the driver will be parking on campus all year. This can be prorated if the driver will park on campus for only part of the year. If that is the case, contact Kim McDonald at
kmcdonald@silverdaleba.org when that time comes and the amount will be set.
2. All vehicles are to be parked in the assigned space until the end of the day. Students must park in their assigned space only. Students may not park in a space that is not numbered, or in another numbered space, even if it appears to be unoccupied.
3. Students are not allowed to sit in parked cars at any time.
4. The numbered parking permit must be displayed from rear view mirror. Number on permit corresponds to assigned space reserved for student. Failure to do so may result in the vehicle being towed at the owner’s expense.
5. Parking violations:
Level 1 – Abuse of vehicle parking privileges – Disciplinary Action (phone parent and Code 2 Violation)
Level 2 – Traffic violation – Disciplinary Action (lose driving privilege for 1 week and Code 2 Violation)
Level 3 – Reckless/irresponsible vehicle operation – Disciplinary Action (lose driving privilege for 9 weeks and Code 2 Violation)
6. Transportation of other students is prohibited without prior written permission granted by both driver and rider’s parent or guardian.
7. Whether on approach roads or on campus, students must drive responsibly and with the safety of other students in mind. The speed limit on school premises is ten (10) miles per hour!
8. Student drivers must gain administrative approval prior to accessing their vehicle during school hours.
9. Students must not leave campus during school hours without Upper School Office approval.
10. Since it is strictly a parental choice to allow a child to bring a vehicle to school, the school assumes no responsibility for any vehicle brought on campus (including theft or any damage to student vehicles).
11. Non-registered student drivers are not permitted to park on Silverdale Baptist property.
12. The administration holds the right to search a vehicle at any time if given just cause.
I understand that failure to follow the above rules may result in the loss of driving privileges. By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read this document and agree to its conditions.
