Dr. Jerry McMillan was one of Gallatin's finest citizens. He served the community by caring for our pets as a veterinarian for more than 40 years, but his clients recall their appointments as something beyond a typical doctor's visit---it was a time spent with a friend, a mentor, and an advisor. Dr. McMillan served as a Gallatin Lion for over 38 years.

His legacy is a testament to a life well-lived and a life dedicated to his community and family. We would like to continue his memory by awarding financial assistance to Sumner County students who value their community and academic accomplishment.

Requirements:
*Students must be Sumner County residents and be enrolling in an accredited two or four year program or trade school.

*Please be prepared to submit your personal information, transcripts and an essay reflecting the applicants service to their local community and what their community means to them.

*The Scholarship amount will be $1,000, distributed for the 2020-2021 academic year.
